New club dolls are announced in May. In the past we have paid the club fee for those customers ordering the club doll from us. In 2004 the club fees increased significantly and we do not make any money on club fees however, we are still offering a $50.00 credit towards your fee when you order the "Cole" Club doll from us. With this you get a choice of either Sunshine Scootles or the Sunny Bear. You can order either with your club fee. If you wish to purchase both you may but there is an additional cost. Again, we make no money on these club fees.  In many cases we order extra pieces of club dolls or characters for stock before the end of the club year for those people who don't renew in time. These are under our names. Retired pieces in stock include the price of the piece & club fee.

 R. John Wright introduces the PLAYTIME COLLECTION - an exclusive Collector Club series featuring children and their toys. The first doll in this series is the little boy shown here named "Cole." This darling toddler is made entirely of the finest all-wool felt and measures just 11 1/2" tall - an exciting new cabinet-size from R. John Wright Dolls. Cole is fully jointed and has separate fingers, hand painted features, and a meticulously hand-knotted mohair wig. He is dressed in maroon felt shorts, a cotton knit shirt, and cloth strap sandals with rubber crepe soles. As the first piece in the collection, Cole holds his very own custom-made "Humpty Dumpty" cloth doll!

This special Ninth Anniversary Collector Club Exclusive will be produced in a numbered edition strictly limited to orders received during the 2004-2005 Club year. The club year ends April 30, 2005. Each will come enclosed in a custom-made presentation box. Included will be the signed and numbered certificate of authenticity and the forms for owner registration. Collectors who purchase Cole, will have the opportunity to acquire matching numbers for future pieces in the Playtime Collection.

If you are already a member of the club and wish to order club just give us your club member number and we will deduct $50.00 off the price of "Cole" to absorb some of the cost of membership.

He sits on a custom-made wooden spool of thread wound with the finest silk 'twist.' On his nose are perched a pair of wire rim spectacles and in his hands he holds a tiny newspaper.
