Each features realistic airbrushed coloring, hand-embroidered detailing, felt paw pads, and custom-made glass eyes. As shown in the classic Potter illustrations, Thomas' sisters will come dressed in their finest delicate cotton batiste pinafores and tuckers. In the R. This charming character is based on the well-known illustration featured on the front cover of Beatrix Potter's immortal tale The Tailor of Gloucester. Measuring a mere 3" tall, The Mouse Tailor™ is made entirely of fine mohair, and features delicately airbrushed coloring and glass eyes. He sits on a custom-made wooden spool of thread wound with the finest silk 'twist.' On his nose are perched a pair of wire rim spectacles and in his hands he holds a tiny newspaper.The Mouse Tailor™ is the very first issue in a series of delightful mouse characters from the Beatrix Potter™ books.
