 Rotraut Schrott Dolls 2006

2006 Update! We were honored to have Rotraut attend our last 2005 doll show in person all the way from Germany. This year  (2006) she will honor us again with a rare personal appearance. Rotraut didn't even show in NY this year. Rotraut is shown below at our last show. The stunning bride was created just for our show which sold immediately. Naema and Sali was also created especially for the Dollery. This stunning pair is very reasonably priced for Rotraut's work. Avid collector's familiar with Rotraut's work are aware that many of her individual dolls in the last five years have sold for 10K and this is a pair for just $7600.00. Rotraut attended her very first doll show in 1988 right here at the Dollery. This was her first appearance ever in the United States. She was sculpting for Gadco who were producing her work in porcelain and vinyl at the time. "Martina" was one of the biggest hits of the decade. When asked by the dolls magazines in the year 2000 what artists we thought would be known in the next millennium we did not hesitate to put Rotraut on our list. For years to get an original piece from Rotraut was not possible. After leaving Gadco about seven or eight years ago Rotraut decided to go back to her true love and create only her original work once again. We had been watching her work to find just the right piece ever since. We saw "Sarnicha" and "Baby Raghi" at toy fair in 2005 and just had to have her. She was a masterpiece and reasonably priced. Rotraut who is extremely modest and fair had adjusted her pricing to reflect the weakness of teh US dollar last year. Rotraut has designed a stunning double piece for our 2006 show not shown here yet (will be in our new show catalogue) and will have other surprises! Make sure to get on our mailing list for her work if you are interested in obtaining one of these museum quality works of arts. Email kmalone@dollery.com your address and number. You will receive a free copy of last years show catalogue, our new Spring flyer and our new 2006 24 page doll show catalogue in August highlighting this year's October show. Rotraut will attend once again!
