Available this year is Olivia, the first of the Ms. Maggie 15” fashion doll series. Here for the first time, an exciting new sculpture, featured in a turn of the century outfit with Maggie’s special touches. Olivia is in a felt dress that begins with an embroidered bodice and a straight skirt. It is then accented with a textured silk overskirt, lined with a matching fine woven silk. Her coat is decorated with hand made felt flowers, in romantic pastels, on a painted and embroidered background. Cording borders her entire coat adding the details of color and framing. She is a picture of feminine style and gracefulness. Two silk covered buttons hold her coat closed and a simple but elegant purse is held in her delicate little hands. Black suede pumps complete the look. Her exquisite felt hat is graced with a feather and translucent ribbon, which can only be described as the perfect complement to her turned up hair in the traditional bun style of the day. She is fully jointed and poseable, with wired fingers, elbows, shoulders, hips and knees.

Maggie has designed Ivy in an all felt outfit representing the most genteel of little girls. Ivy is in a one-piece dress that is embellished, as only Maggie would have it. She wears a pale green wool felt dress with a pleated bottom with sheer cotton sleeves in a pale yellow. Her oversized collar is decorated with a floral design in the gentlest colors enhancing her very innocence. Her molded felt hat has a breath of pale yellow color with a stunning blue ribbon that has a big bow in the back. The strawberry blonde human hair wig she wears is long with bangs. Black suede Mary Janes and woven anklets complete this sweet little girl.

With her special artistic touch Maggie has created Ruthie with all that makes up the classic little girl. Her long blonde human hair is held back with a handmade hair band covered in silk and trimmed with tinted pink flowers. Her multiple layered jacket begins with a delicate shade of pink wool felt that is the background for a translucent silk organza and topped with embroidery and felt flowers. A pastel pink bodice and pale cream wool skirted bottom make up Ruthie’s dress. The only way Maggie could complete the dress was with the addition of a pastel colored pleated silk sash. Woven tights and black suede Mary Janes makes us step back and see Maggie’s impression of the classic little girl.

Maggie’s inspiration for Helen began with the idea of what pastel shades can do for a little girl. The garden on her wool felt dress is painted, embroidered, and sculpted with felt flowers and leaves in gentle shades of pinks and greens. The silk sash around the low waist of her dress has been hand dyed and painted by Maggie to pull all of Helen’s wispy colors together. Long knee socks and black suede Mary Janes give Helen her base, and crowning her short mohair wig with bangs is a felt hat that says, “Here I am, it’s me, Helen.” As if we didn’t know.

Before Maggie’s Alice jumps through any looking glass she pauses for a moment to take a look at herself and sees just how innocent and childlike she can appear to be. The touch of pink on the most delicate Alice blue dress is balanced with her laced trimmed pantaloons and multi-layered apron of white silk. Maggie gave her the traditional black ribbon but in an untraditional way, to hold back her hair and make her the Alice that will stand out in your collection. Her mohair wig is long and full and black leather shoes have her ready to jump thru the looking glass. Look out Mr. Rabbit; the innocent little Alice is back to play.
