With such a richly textured top only the perfect colored, thickly woven cotton would do for her full skirt banded with felt and floss around the hem. The simple felt waistband is embellished with a hand made sculpture of felt flowers, leaves and curled stems. Adding the luster of miniature beads of lavender and white, placed just right to catch the light, Maggie has taken the dolls romantic mood off to flights of fancy. Shoes are made of ultra sued in a deep plum lavender which are graced with beads at the toe. Her sweet innocent expression is surrounded by the long curls and wisps of her mohair wig. A touch of hand embroidery in green around thehem ties the skirt with the separate felt bodice perfectly. The top is embellished with an embroidered felt band decorated with hand sculpted florals. Lane's mohair wig is braided with each braid looped and tied with a raspberry ribbon. Just the right shade of miniature beads make up her necklace.
